A surprise Class
JeZeBeLe Dagger | July 29, 2008I decided to teach a course at Fermis. It’s been quite some time since i had last taught a course there. I’ve been so busy with intern training and my RL vacation that I havent had time to do my favorite activity on SL(TM) which is to teach.
Out of the blue I decided to send 2 notices. 1 to FSBU, the other to SLT (Sl teaching without borders) and we had about 8 students show up to do this course. During the set up of class several folks who speak Spainish showed up. They had a general area of interest in building. I took a few of them over to the Simbotic Translator store (since they are free) and I am told after teaching this class in English and using a translator that this specific one is much better than the babbler.
We had 8 students show up to the class every one was able to go home with a Gallows.
I am very proud on several levels.
1. that I taught my 1st course with a class that uses english as a 2nd language.
2. That everyone was workign at the same pace and completed the project
3. That I am back and eager and excited to see the amazing builds that are going to be made at Fermis and taught by University instroctors.
I can’t wait! Its good to be back!
